Their vineyards extend in Villar of Alava municipality, a unique geographical situation protected by the Sierra Cantabria, with some influence of the Ebro river microclimate. The wineyards are of mainly limestone soils that contribute its elegance and definition of Tempranillo with the fruit potential of good sunshine, which characterizes these Rioja lands.
For this Cuvée Especial the selection of the most mature and, therefore, more harmonious Tempranillo clusters has been taken into account, which has allowed greater skins and wine barrelling, reaching 12 days of fermentation and maceration. To preserve the primary or fruit values of a ripe and homogeneous grape, the wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for only 8 months, to finish maturation in a bottle variable depending on the structure of the wine of each annual harvest.
A very fresh and aromatic wine with slight roasted and creamy oak nuances, but with a fruity expression and a nice mouth-filling taste.
